We are so fortunate to have so many close friends and family. The ladies of our little hometown church - Meredith's since birth, Jamie's since last year - threw us our final baby shower this Sunday.
What a time Kennedy had! After attending the morning services and kicking the whole way through the song portion, she rested briefly before getting excited again when she arrived at the shower and saw all her presents. Kennedy really hit the jackpot - she got some extremely useful gifts like a baby monitor, a bouncy seat, a papa san swing (from Granny), an Exer Saucer from Aunt Christine and cousin Krystal from Chattanooga, an orange University of Tennessee onesie from Pop for her to wear every Saturday this fall, and a lot of other really sweet, really cute clothes. Among her favorites were the aforementioned UT onesie and a solid black onesie with silver script writing that said, "My Little Black Dress." Her great Aunt Jackie and her Aunt Lisa and Uncle Todd (along with first cousins Haley, Scout and Riley) also got her some really adorable outfits.
Jamie's Mom is threatening to send some Virginia Tech gear (whatever) but since Jamie said he couldn't (or wouldn't) fold baby clothes because they were too little, that means Meredith gets to decide on all the outfits.
Kennedy will no doubt be one of the most stylish babies in Nashville once she arrives!
We are so lucky to know so many great people. Thanks to everyone who came to each of Kennedy's showers, and for those of you who couldn't make it - thank you for sending such excellent gifts. We are all so thankful!

Aaaaaah....how sweet :-) The "friendly church at the end of the road" (do they still say that or was that just a Bro. Jim-ism?) really are a friendly group of folks.
